Kreativpark Lokhalle - ideal for green start-ups
A place for high-flyers: since June 2018, entrepreneurs and start-ups from the cultural and creative industries or the smart green economy have been able to find modern working environments in a unique location of Freiburg's industrial heritage in the Lokhalle creative park. The 1,500 square metre heritage-protected central nave and two side galleries provide with around 120 modern workspaces and plenty of open space for meetings and dialogue. The Lokhalle creative park is the result of a public-private partnership between the city's business development agency FWTM and the Grünhof start-up centre.
BioTech Park - Laboratory space for MedTech and Life Science
BioTechPark Freiburg is the ideal location for start-ups and established companies from the life sciences sector (biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medicine/medical technology, microsystems technology, etc.). Located in the Freiburg-Nord innovation cluster, the BioTechPark Freiburg is embedded in an environment of successful companies and research institutions: The natural science and technical faculties of the university, the university hospital, the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics, the five institutes of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the new Hahn-Schickard Institute for Microanalysis Systems are just as easy to reach from here as Messe Freiburg.

Freiburg Innovation Center (FRIZ) - where progress is made
The Freiburg Innovation Center (FRIZ) is continuing the activities of the L-Bank location development. As with the technology parks in the university cities of Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Tübingen and Reutlingen, the new complex, which will open in 2022, focuses on proximity and networking. The location in the immediate vicinity of universities and research institutions promotes the exchange between science and industry and fast knowledge and technology transfer.
