The Freiburg Network of Family-Conscious Companies (FNFU) is an association of Freiburg companies for whom a life-phase-oriented personnel policy is a central concern. The companies contribute their expertise on family-friendly personnel policies to the network, share information and exchange experiences and solutions. They find cooperation partners and develop compatibility policy projects together. The "Care and Work" working group organizes events on reconciling work and care.

The Regional Coordination Office for Skilled Immigration (RKF), in consultation with the employer service of the local agencies, advises small and medium-sized companies in particular on all aspects of the Skilled Immigration Act.

A selection of academies for vocational training and qualification
The Academy of the Southern Upper Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Trade Academy of the Freiburg Chamber of Crafts are among the largest and most efficient centres for vocational training and further education in Baden-Württemberg.
The Verwaltungs- und Wirtschafts-Akademie (VWA) Freiburg offers study programmes and seminars for specialists and managers and is attended by over 5,000 professionals and trainees every year.
The German Real Estate Academy (DIA) at the University of Freiburg is one of the largest supra-regional further education institutes for the property and finance industry. More than 1,500 participants per year complete degree programmes in real estate management, appraisal and asset management here.
The Academy for Medical Professions at the University Medical Centre Freiburg offers around 800 students practical training in nursing, technical and therapeutic professions as well as a nursing degree at the Albert Ludwig University.
