The Haid-Süd industrial estate
Haid-Süd is planned as an attractive zero-emissions commercial area that meets the expectations of future users as well as the high-quality building culture in the Haid commercial area. The planning regulations of the neighboring area will be taken up and adapted to current requirements, particularly with regard to environmental protection. In this respect, an innovative energy concept tailored to the companies will be created. In addition to the public green spaces, the plots themselves will also be landscaped at the edges to serve as infiltration areas. In this way, the area blends in perfectly with the surrounding landscape.

Plots of land
The Haid industrial estate is being extended in a southerly direction. The newly developed area covers around 16 hectares, of which around 10 hectares can still be built on. The plot sizes range between 1,200 and 12,000 square meters and can be planned individually.
Development
In the future, the southern entrance to the city will be characterized by the silhouette of the Haid Süd industrial estate. For this reason, emphasis is placed on a representative and multi-story design. With a floor area ratio (GRZ) of 0.8, the plots are to be optimally utilized. Along Matsuyamaallee, a number of solar movers, as a trademark of Green City Freiburg, will announce the motto of this commercial area.
Desired industry structure
The aim is to attract high-quality production companies, larger craft businesses and companies from the research sector.
Infrastructure
The southern full access to the A5 highway with the traffic circle on the B31/B3 improved the traffic connections of the entire industrial estate. Bötzinger Straße was developed into an alley-like main development axis. There is also a connection to the existing local public transport network.
