Frequently asked questions about the Green Industry Park
No. There is no formal membership. Any company wishing to get involved is welcome.
We do not charge any fees. Our events are free of charge.
We are always delighted when companies open their doors for networking events. Show others your company and your products, and tell them about your plans or the implementation of climate-friendly measures.
The GIP is a location-specific approach and has proven its worth as such. In future, however, we also want to make our services available to other businesses within the Freiburg area. Please do get in touch.

The GIP is managed by the City of Freiburg’s Environmental Protection Agency, which has a dedicated staff member for this purpose. The Economic Development Agency (FWTM) also contributes staff resources. Funding is provided through the city’s budget, the municipal climate protection fund or external funding secured through grants.

Companies in the Green Industry Park Freiburg are turning a profit thanks to sustainable concepts and green ideas. They are values-driven, highly motivated and pragmatic in their approach. Success stories from the GIP include long-established firms such as the specialist technical retailer Maertin, which exemplifies successful generational succession; newcomers such as the sustainable communications provider WEtell; and global corporations such as Pfizer, with its highly innovative site in Freiburg. And pioneers such as the cooperatively organised timber construction firm Grünspecht, which is successfully committed to ecological and healthy building.
